I can't believe that we are over half way through our lecture phase! On one hand it seems like just the other day when I waved good bye to my sobbing parents and smiling brother. On the other...it feels like I have been here forever! The woman I have become is world's different from the little girl I left at home. Everyday I have never ending opportunities to watch young people radically change their lives for Christ. This week has been especially hard for our DTS. The devil has been at work in all of the Performing Arts students like no other week. However the Holy Spirit has just wrapped his arms around us and is redeeming us in every way. Instead of choosing defeat we are all choosing the victory and running towards it!
Today my small group went to our leaders home to bake together for our PA Open Mic Fundraiser and enjoyed a wonderful lunch! We sat at a table overlooking the ocean and just enjoyed being in a real home with a real couch and driving in a real car! It's amazing what you realize you have all taken for granted back home. We worked for the remainder of the day and then enjoyed each others talents during our Open Mic night.
Surprisingly there are only 2 weeks left until our first performance! This is really putting on the pressure for us to step it up in our rehearsals and extra practices. We attempted to bring the production together this past week for the first time. It was amazing to see the entirety of the piece but mind boggling how much work still needs to be done!
