Sorry that I haven't written a new update for a while! Life out here is crazy! Sometimes I think what it was like to have an entire day to do nothing while I was still back at home...weird! Anyways this past weekend our whole crew of fifty Performing Arts people headed out to Hilo where we performed a taste of our production to two different churches. We had a blast sleeping on fake hard wood floor and putting on as much stage make up as possible. It was a great bonding time while we got pushed to our limits with going without food for hours and fighting over mattresses that were truly church pew cushions. God really tied us together on Saturday morning when our staff surprised us with communion and foot washing. I was delighted when I realized how Jesus had intended for this to truly happen. Often I have participated in such activities without any emotion other than obeying Christ. Which isn't all bad however when one of my staff members came up to me with a tub of water and tears streaming down her face a whole new revelation caught me off guard. I began to realize how many things in my past I have simply done for "religions" sake and I actually have a very little idea of what it looks like to live like Christ. This I want to seek the rest of my life.
Of course I am still desperately trying to figure out what to do after DTS. I am seriously considering returning to Kona middle of October to staff with Heartbridge. However I have completely placed this in God's hands and I am allowing his will alone to be done! I am done with pursuing my own achievements and I am ready to live in the original design which he created me to live within.
This week is corporate week and we are all together as a DTS family readying ourselves for outreach. God is moving and implanting faith like never before deep within our hearts and I enjoy watching my beautiful small group wrestle and struggle with the great things of Christ. I know that their is victory in the end and therefore I delight in their struggles! They will be so much stronger in the end!
Have a wonderful week at home everybody and I hope that the hail did not damage anybody's lives to much!
Much love,
Terri-Lynn
