I have been accepted to the Fire in the Night internship through International House of Prayer in Kansas City! Wow I have been waiting for MONTHS to be able to write this blog. I applied several months ago for the internship being so sure this was where Christ was leading me however it wasn't until this past week that I received my acceptance letter AND my student visa! I find God's timing fascinating as I see that he had so many reasons for not allowing my visa to go through any sooner. I am leaving in three weeks and six days! (September 15th) This means that I will finish off my final project at work (SLT's 25th Anniversary) and the next day head off to Kansas! My wonderful parents are driving me down to Kansas where I will be spending hours in the prayer room six days a week. The whole idea of Fire in the Night is bringing Christ into the night while so much darkness and evil is being done. We sleep during the day and are awake in classes, doing ministry and praying at night! I am extremely excited to see what Christ will all teach me during this next season. I am so open to his direction and leading; change me Jesus!! I need to be more like you! I will be home for just shy of two weeks at Christmas and then head to Hawaii to join YWAM (Youth With a Mission) for a DTS (Discipleship Training School). I am excited to watch Christ redeem YWAM in my mind, heart and soul as I return to the same campus in Kona that I was at two winters ago. I am accepted to the Fire and Fragrance DTS (Focused on Spiritual Gifts and Prayer) I am however extremely open to the Lord's direction and leading. If he calls me elsewhere during my time at IHOP I WILL GO! However for now...the next year appears to be MISSIONS! Your prayers would be greatly appreciated as I walk into this next chapter of life! Please pray for peace as I leave him and an attitude of 'abandoning all for the sake of the cross'. Please pray for a soft heart as I spend hours pursuing Christ in the prayer room and listen to the wisdom of many speakers and teachers. Please also pray for Christ to empower me as we hit the streets in Kansas and lead people to him. May my words be his words and my thoughts his thoughts. Thank you so much for your love and support!
