Lately Jesus has been teaching me A LOT about the sovereignty of God. So much about the sovereignty of God has to do with Him allowing and predestining EVERYTHING in your life. Now how am I letting it define me?
We are still taking a class on the Life of David and I am seriously going to miss this one! Studying David's life has awaken a desire within me to have a banner over my life that states "She lives to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord." If I am teaching dance or working at a desk, sitting in a prayer room or eating a meal with my friends and family I want to confidently do all things while gazing upon the beauty of the Lord. Think about it! David was a King. Think your life is stressful? Yet he says "Onething I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to inquire in His temple." Psalm 27:4 If David did it surely I can as well! That was one long rabbit trail...my point with David was that Saul was a serious thorn in his flesh! However David allowed Saul to form, mold and shape him into a man after God's own heart. Imagine your father in law throwing a spear at you more then once and causing you to flea from him and hide in caves. Would you be able to take that and allow that very situation to form you into a person who the Lord can glorify Himself through?
Often us as Christian's view the end times as a horrific time that we truly want to escape! The truth is the end times is such a gift to us from our Bridegroom. He is giving us a time that will purify us like none other. A time that will forcefully strip all crutches in life away from us and fully make us lean on our creator alone. He will send an Antichrist that will challenge and persecute us in every way imaginable. That's right...HE, our God, our Father is going to send an Antichrist to rule and reign over us that we might become as pure as possible.
What in your life is God presenting before you as an invitation for you to lean more fully on Him? The bible says HE makes people mute, blind, diseased. HE sends disasters, storms, famines etc. What is He sending your way? Good or bad? Don't waste these gifts...give thanks and have joy within them for they are opportunities presented before you to help you learn to love Him more and lean on Him more fully.
