Home Sweet Home :)

Well I am officially at home and on days!  I can't even describe what it feels like to be home.  At times my heart is so happy to be in my little home town that I beg Jesus to let me stay here.  At other times it seems as if the world is screaming so loudly and all I want to do is go and sit in that prayer room in Kansas City.  Overall...this is going to be an adventure with the lover of my soul and I'm excited for it :)
I am returning back to Kansas City beginning of July.  I have been accepted to ACTS (Antioch Centre for Training and Sending) School of Frontier Missions.  This school is designed to equip young students to go into the hardest and darkest places of the earth bringing the gospel to unreached people groups.  The first three months (July through September) I will be in Kansas City and it will be much more like a boot camp then a semester of university!  We are thrown into theological classes, hours of prayer and team building.  Then for the next three months (October through December) we head out on our first short term assignment overseas!  This could range from bringing the gospel to an unreached people group or going to help establish a House of Prayer where this has been impossible up until now.  After these six months I may leave ACTS as a successful graduate or continue on for long term training.  As of right now I am certainly planning on continuing on however I am fully open to God's leading in the next year of my life!  After our first three months of outreach we return to Kansas City for three more months (January through March) of long term mission field training.  After completion of the second three months track in KC (Advanced Track) we return home for six weeks of support raising and then head out for two years!  I am extremely excited for what God is going to teach me through this program.  I feel extremely honoured and privileged to be a part of completing the great commission.  There is no generation I would rather be a part of!
Over my next three months here at home I will be working, reconnecting with friends and family and hopefully connecting with YOU!  If any of you would like to have coffee and ask any questions on the training/teaching I have received over the past six months or if you have any questions regarding my future I would be more then happy to meet with you!  And of course if you just want to talk about Jesus together around a cup of coffee I would be pumped!!
I am starting a prayer meeting at my house (my parents house;) every Wednesday starting this Wednesday (April 17th).  It will begin at 7:00 and end at 8:30.  This way if you have to go put your children to bed, or if you young people want to do something after the prayer meeting this is completely possible!  Absolutely anybody and everybody is invited!  If you have children we do have toys for them and if you are a senior we certainly are in need of your wisdom!  Even if you are simply curious about the prayer movement you are more then welcome to come and be a fly on the wall and simply watch; no pressure to participate until you are ready.  If you have any questions or need directions to my place you can call my home number (204-355-4091) or e-mail me at terri_brandt@hotmail.com.  Also if you have an Apple product you can iMessage me at terri_brandt@hotmail.com.
The other night I was lying in the snow looking up at the stars and just loving the peace, the silence. I missed that in Kansas City; there the snow was always melting and the smog was too thick most nights to properly view the stars.  I was lying there and I almost wanted to stop breathing; it was as if my own breath interfered with that complete stillness.  There is something about God's creation that simply screams His existence.  As I was laying there watching the stars suddenly the daily worry's and anxieties slip away; nothing else matters because you just know in your being that the God out there who holds all those stars in His hands is holding my heart.  That's enough to get me through anything!  Today take time to just stop.  If it's on the car ride home, pull onto a gravel road and just STOP!  Maybe five minutes before dinner is ready just step outside the front door and just stand still.  Take five minutes to just be still before God.  Don't be the one asking the questions but just let Him speak in the silence to your heart.  You are created to live in complete peace that surpasses understanding.  Let Him sweep that over you today!  Have a blessed day everyone and I'm looking forward to hearing from you :)

  1. Very Excited for you Terri-Lynn! I Bless you! You do have a big God. And I might as well share a quote I just read from a friend.

Greatness in the Kingdom of God is always attached to a cross.

:) remember sacrifices take all forms! Obedience is key, His sheep know His voice!
