Did Jesus perform any miracles before His public ministry?

Many have had the idea of Jesus being a 'super baby.'  Possibly His first miracle was cleaning out His cloth diaper without the help of His mom or maybe He burped Himself.  As a toddler many of us have the idea of Jesus already healing people on the playground and constantly correcting His teachers where they were wrong.
Yet the bible is far from implying these ideas.  When Jesus was at a wedding with His mother He goes as far as to say "My hour has not yet come," John 2:4.  I strongly believe that the Lord did not perform miracles everyday while walking down the street.  Instead He waited until the Father blessed Him as His baptism and after He was tempted for 40 days and 40 nights in the desert.
The situation in which Jesus turned water into wine I believe is a example of Christ's tender heart towards parents.  This in my mind is direct application for Ephesians 6:1-3, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  '"Honour your father and mother,"' which is the first commandment with promise: ''"that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."  This was not the beginning of the Lord's ministry but rather practical application to a commandment which His Father laid out for the first time in Deuteronomy 5:16.
I do not believe that Christ regularly performed miracles before His time.  Even to His mother He was bold enough to proclaim that it was not the coming of His time yet.  This to me is a clear sign that He was a normal baby, toddler and child until the Father gave Him the ability to begin working in the power which was given to Him.
